02 SEP 2012 ... Tropical Storm LESLIE Update

This post is a brief and quick update:

Well, Ana and I are very happy that as predicted, tropical storm Leslie has tracked to our north.

We are sitting on board Impi and are tied down to the dock where we have been keeping an eye on weather as well as watch the edge of Leslie move by.

The moon has been spectacular ... we have watched a second full moon for the month and of course this phenomena is known as Blue Moon!

Last night we sat on board having invited Gareth and Jenna to join us ... we had a terrific evening to the loud sound of 'Dire Straits' on board Impi and this followed with a visit to a local restaurant for some delicious sushi!

With Leslie passing bye we are planning to untie the ropes tomorrow and head yet again for the various islands in the BVI's.

Apart from light winds which shifted radically in direction, we have not felt any effect from Leslie for which we are grateful.

In preparation for our departure we decided to head for Riteway and do a 'light shop' for essentials which we loaded into a taxi ($5 per person) today and loved the convenience of pushing a 'trolley' down a dock right alongside Impi.

  1. We are glad to hear that the storm has passed you safely. I bet seeing that moon from down there was fantastic.

  2. Hi Gremlins ;)
Thanks for that ... we are 'out of our league' with all these storms rolling around this part of the world but it's a great learning curve for us ... the weather is certainly something to be respected and I just wish I could learn more quicker
    The moon was beautiful ...
You need to get out here and join us!!!
